Project 1

Cyberslides

Footwear Design

- Bachelor Thesis
- 3D-printed footwear
- Prof. Melanie Kurz

Project Cyberslides explores the
potentials and boundaries of
3D-printed footwear in order to connect consumers directly with designers through decentralized manufacturing.

Fashion-enthusiasts have the opportunity to produce their own shoes
on their personal fdm-printer
and can therefore bypass middlemen, factories and big brands.

3D-Printing also enables consumers
to keep up with latest fashion trends
and expressing themselves in a fast paced yet sustainable manner through the possibility of recycling.

Project 2

AeroRail

Industrial Mobility

- Semester 6
- More than a Railway
- Prof. Manfred Wagner

AeroRail is a pedal-powered two-person Railbike.
Its meant to offer sports enthusiasts an easy access,
safe and fast biking experience,
on discontinued railway tracks.

AeroRail uses the advantages of the high conservation of energy and non-steering navigation of the railway mechanism,
to achieve velocities of up to 100kmh.

As the concept of railbike or draisines already exists, aerorail adresses a new target audience of people
who want to experience the excitement and speed
of a recumbent bike but also dont want to miss the safety of a gym bike.

Project 3

X-RAY

Industrial Mobility

- Semester 5
- Future / Science Fiction
- Prof. Manfred Wagner

Project X-Ray envisions a scenario where nature has reclaimed the land and humanity lives underwater.
A more fluid lifestyle and dynamic workflows will force humans to adapt and find new ways of organizing.
And in order to maximize prosperity people will have to start sharing housing, transportation and technology.

X-Ray is a 2-part solution for living and mobility.
It has a home-module and a detachable
transportation-unit.
The home-unit is designed for up to two persons to give a hotel-like experince with maximum space efficiency and can be connected to underwater cities where most of the spaces will be shared for collaboration and private rooms will be minimized.
While cars today remain most of their time unmoved, the transportation-unit can be lend out to community members if people wanna stay at a place for longer.

Project 4

Bionic Bike

Concept Design

- 2022
- Topology Optimization / Styling
- Personal Project

In this project I wanted to explore the possibilites from seatpostless bike frames in relation with topology optimization and generative design.
Seatpostless frame designs are gaining popularity in the triathlon-scene due to aerodynamic advantages and the spectacular design opportunities.

Project 5

USPS Delivery Drone

Industrial Design

- Semester 4
- Sustainable Mobility
- Prof. Manfred Wagner

In this project me and two collegues worked out a delivery concept for USPS which consists of a fully automated delivery process from sorting mail and packages in the car to autonomous driving delivery vans and autonomous flying drones delivering to dedicated stations for customers to pick up their packages in resusable boxes.

Project 6

Fragmented Sole Sneaker

Footwear Design

- 2021
- Form Study
- Personal Project

This mid top sneaker was subject to experimentation with polygonal crystaline shapes and structures in the sole in an effort to connect a chunky fragmented look of the sole to the organic shape of the foot.

Project 7

Trefoil Bench

Form Basics

- Semester 2
- Fold Reproduce
- Barbara Brouwers

The goal in the fold reproduce project was to find repeating patterns through folding paper and make them reproducible and find a product association in the end.
My modular unit was inspired by the trefoil knot which can be mathematically explained by:

x = sint + 2sin2t
y = cost - 2cos2t
z = - sin3t

The module consists of three identical parts and can also as a whole be connected into a infinite continuous surface with itself.
I optimized the surfaces so that a seat and a backrest emerges and a park bench arises.

Project 8

Gaming Mouse

Industrial Design

- 2021
- Form Study
- Personal Project

In this form study I designed an adjustable optical mouse with an aesthetic appeal for gaming enthusiasts.
All four handrests can be adjustet for different hand shapes. All these are mounted to the same one piece aluminum frame. The goal was to create a high tech vibe and convey an overengeniered and futuristic appearance.

Project 9

Selected Footwear Sketches

Footwear Design

- 2021
- Footwear Design
- Personal Project

Footwear Design Concepts made in Gravity Sketch.
Colors are mainly used to distinguish different panels.

-Sports Splitsole Runner
-Quirky Rave Plateau Boot
-High Performer Weightlifting Shoe
-Techwear Trainer
